Organic Chemistry Group

The activity in organic chemistry is focused on experimental synthetic organic chemistry and directed toward the synthesis and investigation of molecules of medical interest. Within this broad field, each faculty member conducts her/his own specific research project, and as such the group can be considered a pluralistic monolith with a broad and fairly complete competence in the field. The research conducted by the faculty members partly overlap, manifested through intra-departmental collaborations.

 The group in organic chemistry does research in three main areas:

1. Development of new synthetic methods
2. Development of strategies for experimental studies of synthetic reactions
3. Synthesis of biologically active compounds

The group consists of four faculty members:
