Inorganic- and Material Chemistry group

The group’s current activities cluster around the interface of bioinorganic chemistry and materials chemistry. We seek to understand and model key metalloenzyme-catalyzed processes, but equally we want to apply this understanding to create new products such as transition metal catalysts, solar cells, and biological imaging agents and other smart materials. Our research thus ranges from organic and inorganic synthesis all the way to state-of-the-art ab initio calculations.
