Research - IMB

The department's research activities are concentrated on fundamental biomedical research problems, including research on various cancer forms, cardiovascular diseases, the body's immune system and anti-biotic resistance. The department
is also involved in marine bio-prospecting and the development of new medicines.

As part of a broad collaboration both nationally and internationally, IMB heads and participates in a host of projects financed by amongst others the EU and the Research Council of Norway. In addition, IMB engages in the education of the researchers of the future through PhD schools and PhD programmes.
