Research at the Department of Geology
The research activities at the department are concentrated around the three research groups; Polar Marine Geology and Geophysics, Crustal Dynamics and Coastal and Terrestrial Geosciences.
The department participate in several, large research projects funded by The Research Council of Norway, EU and the Norwegian oil industry.
