Department of Psychology

The Department of Psychology (IPS) is one of the largest departments at UiT, offering teaching within many central and exciting subjects in the specialist field of psychology.  IPS is responsible for four programmes of study in psychology: one-year programme, Bachelor degree programme, Master's degree programme and PhD programme. The department is responsible for approximately 600 students divided among these four programmes of study.

The department engages in comprehensive research of a high standard, both nationally and internationally. IPS makes the necessary arrangements so the students can and should participate in the research that is taking place at the department, through coursework requirements, examinations and not least through employing students as research assistants.
