SESAM - a research centre

From January 1st2013 the Centre for Sami Studies (SESAM) is a part of the Faculty of Humanities, Social Sciences and Education. The centre is now a research center at the same level as faculty departments. This will help strengthen research and education as the University’s primary activities within the Sami and Indigenous related area. At the same time, SESAM will continue to contribute to the University’s overall research- and education activities in the Sami and Indigenous fields by initiating and coordinating academic cooperation across the faculty borders. Else Grete Broderstad begins as academic director of SESAM.
