About the department - IMB

The Department of Medical Biology (IMB) is nearly 40 years old and was from its establishment in 1972 an important brick in the establishment of a medical school in the region. With a staff of around 200, the department remains one of the cornerstones of the Faculty of Health Sciences.

Located at a latitude of nearly 70°N, IMB offers a unique environment for its staff and students. Some staff arrive at work by ski in winter and cycle to work along the same trails in summer.
