Objective of the course

Students who have successfully completed the course should have achieved the following learning outcomes:

Knowledge and comprehension:

  • more rigorous foundations for the topics from intermediate microeconomics
  • the principle of duality, decisions under uncertainty, and simple general equilibrium analysis

Skills:

  • formulate problems amenable to microeconomic analysis
  • solve problems using microeconomic principles

Competence:

  • read and understand research papers in applied microeconomics
  • apply microeconomic principles to simple real-world problems
