Programme description
The research conducted is within the framework: organic synthesis. Within this, each senior scientist of the group makes distinct contribution in his/her field of specialisation. In this respect, the group can be regarded as a pluralistic monolith. The projects conducted overlap and there is a close co-operation between the members of the group. Activities can be summarised by the following keywords:
- Synthetic methodology
- Design and optimisation in organic synthesis
- Stereoselective synthesis
- Organometallic chemistry
- Peptide chemistry
- Synthesis of complex molecules (total synthesis)
The programme will give the students a good knowledge of different aspects of organic chemistry. Scientific methods will be emphasised at all stages and the student will be given training in scientific presentations, in writing as well as verbal.
