3 rd annual BioStruct conference

The 3rd annual BioStruct conference 2012 will be arranged at idyllic Jægtvolden, Trøndelag 30. August-2. September. The aim of this conference is to unite researchers and students within molecular and structural biology both for scientific discussions and for social gathering. The whole event is brought to new heights every year with excellent meals based on locally produced food.

Invited speakers will present key-note lectures and some sessions will be dedicated to PhD-student talks, altogether 15 PhD students presenting plans and results. The conference is open for everybody; technicians, post docs, professors, administrative personnel, master and PhD students.

Mini-workshop in ethics; lecture and group discussions
“Bioteknologi: hype, hope, fear and FACTS!”  by Dag Helland, Department of Molecular Biology, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, University of Bergen

Participation and travel is free for PhD and Master students presenting a 12 minutes talk and/or a poster. Some PhD students will be chosen for oral presentations based on abstracts, registration with an abstract is therefore mandatory for free participation. Please do not hesitate to send an E-mail to biostruct@uit.no for any questions regarding the conference.
