Sikkerhetskurs i laboratorium, felt og tokt

The course is arranged in the beginning of each semester, January 2013 course is given in Norwegian! English version of course is offered in August 2013. The course will give insight in different aspects of risk, prevention and safety to make sure that laboratory work, field work and sea expeditions are completed in a secure way.

The course will consist of one compulsory general module (part 1A, B and C) and nine specialized modules (part 2-10). The participants should choose relevant modules among parts 2-10. Part 1 is compulsory for all new employees, master degree students, PhD students and guest researchers.

If participants are absent from the mandatory part they are not allowed to work on their own in the lab. Attendance will therefore be noted!

In addition to ABC basic safety (mandatory for all) you can choose between several special subjects in the list below.
