    Research interests

My main research interest is marine zooplankton and their seasonality, ecology and functional traits in high-latitude ecosystems. Of particular interest is the role of zooplankotn in determining the fate of organic carbon by regulating the biological carbon pump.

I´m also interested in the role of high-latitude copepods outside the main productive period, i.e. in autumn and winter, and the coupling between copepods and microbial food webs in the arctic.
