Job description

From Jan. 2016 to Dec. 2022, I have a Professor 2 position that is shared between the Department of Arctic and Marine Biology and the Department of Chemistry. I am in charge of 2 courses, each course is planned to take place every second year. I am spending 6 weeks per year on average at UiT (from 5 to 12 weeks). I have.a research collaboration with Karsten Fischer since 2015.

My main position is in France, I am Professor at the University Grenoble-Alpes, at the interface between Physics and Biology. My research is done at IBS, Institut de Biologie Structurale.



Teaching

In the chemistry Deparment, I am responsbile for the Protein crystallization course. It is a one-week course , with 2 lectures every morning and lab work in the afternoon. The course is for PhD students from UiT and also from the Norwegian doctoral school BIOCAT. In the 2016 and 2018 we had also students from Portugal (in agreement between BIOCAT). The course took place in 2016, 2018, 2021 and 2022. The number of participants is limited to 10. 

In the Arctic and Marine Biology Department, I am responsible, together with Karsten Fischer, of the course entitled "Biological membranes and their proteins". It is a 2-weeks course, with 2 lectures in the morning and lab work every afternoon. It is open to master and PhD students from UiT. The course tool place in 2017, 2019, and 2022.
