Barbara Stein


Job description

Barbara Stein is associate professor at the Department of Social Education. She did her PhD at the same department and in her project she studied volunteerism's role in the integration processes of adult immigrants. Her research interests are: migration, integration, volunteerism, and gender. She is affiliated with the Arctic Centre for Welfare and Disability Research (ASVF).

    Teaching

    Barbara Stein teaches on bachelor's, master's and PhD level at the Department of Social Education, primarily within the fields of social anthropology/sociology, migration/minorities, and gender.

    She is currently supervising two master's theses affiliated with the Master in Social Innovation and Welfare (SSO-3911 Masteroppgave velferdsendring).
