Mahshid Hatamzad
Research Fellow in Industrial Engineering- Cost effectiveness in winter road maintenance techniques
Job description
Winter road maintenance plays an important role in traffic safety, particularly in the Arctic region due to severe road condition, low friction as well as poor visibility. Norwegian Transport Agency has set a twelve-year traffic policy and the main goal is to achieve the zero-casualties vision. The major challenges are to find the best techniques to maximize the traffic safety while minimizing the cost and negative enviromental impacts.
