Job description

I a Norwegian and Sami doctoral candidate, and are researching nature guiding in Nord-Troms with the aim of a more sustainable nature-based tourism. I myself have worked as a guide in various places, am a kayak instructor, and teach at bachelor's and master's level in nature, culture and society, and research methods and ethics. Matters close to my heart are climate action, animal protection, nature management and Sami themes such as tourism and nature practices. In addition, I have participated in UiT's think tank for sustainability, a panel discussion on the Sami national day, and organized a political debate with a focus on the UN's sustainability goals.

Nature-based tourism, nature guiding, outdoor life and facilitation, animals and ethics, eco-philosophy, ecological and sociocultural sustainability, regenerative tourism, sustainable development, Indigenous methodology, Sami culture and nature ontologies, conservation and visitor management, climate change, community wellbeing. 

Teaching

Graduate level: research methods and theory of science.

Undergraduate level: outdoor activities - natur, culture and society. Sea kayak coruse.
