    Research interests

I focus on Coagulase-negative staphylococci (CNS), especially Staphylococcus haemolyticus. My goal is to understand genetic differences between invasive and commensal isolates, particularly related to polysaccharide capsule (CP) genes, as well as biofilm formation. The studies aim to uncover how different capsule types and biofilm formation affect the bacterium's ability to cause infections and resist the immune system, with potential implications for treatment methods concerning immunocompromised children

    Teaching

I am co-teaching first-year students in Biomedicine, Biochemistry, and Biology."
