Job description

I work as a programmer for Center for Saami lexicography which is being built up at UiT in connection to Giellatekno. I have home office, so please contact me though e-mail, Teams, Zulip or phone.

Previously I have taught North Saami from beginner level as a University College teacher (autumn 2025 and spring 2026) and hosted a course in Skolt Saami language and culture (SAM-1300 summer 2026).

Previously I have worked as a programmer and computer linguist at Giellatekno. I mainly worked with computational grammatical analysis of Kildin Saami, with a main goal of creating a spell checker, in addition to generating inflection paradigms and analyzing texts.
