Job description

Young group leader/investigator at the Department of Pharmacy, with a PhD in microbiology from The University of Exeter (UK). Former CMDI Early Career Award Fellow at The Georgia Institute of Technology.

Research interests

  • Phage therapy, phage–bacteria evolutionary ecology, phage resistance evolution, evolutionary biology, and microbial ecology.

  • Acinetobacter baumannii as both an opportunistic pathogen and model organism for studying how bacteria evolve resistance to phages.

  • Phage biology, with a focus on lytic phages and in particular the phage I discovered during my postdoc in the US: Mystique.
