Csifcsak, Gabor

Gabor Csifcsak, MD, PhD, is a professor at the Research Group for Cognitive Neuroscience at the Department of Psychology, UiT The Arctic University of Norway. His teaching activities encompass courses in quantitative research methods and cognitive neuroscience/biological psychology. The main focus of his research is the neurobiology of cognitive processes (reinforcement learning, decision-making, attention, cognitive control) both in healthy adults and individuals with psychiatric conditions (major depressive disorder, ADHD, substance use disorder, schizophrenia), using various methods (electroencephalography, non-invasive brain stimulation, pupillometry, neuroimaging).

Martiny, Sarah Elisabeth

Sarah Martiny works as a Full Professor in Social and Community Psychology at the Department of Psychology at UiT The Arctic University of Norway, Tromsø, Norway. She teaches classes within the fields of social psychology (with a focus on stereotypes, prejudice and inequality), cultural psychology (with a focus on marginalized groups, cultural differences and similatiries), and community psychology (with a focus on how to counsel culturally diverse). In her research she is interested in intergroup relations such as consequences of (economic and social) inequalities, the integration of immigrants, gender, and cross-cultural comparisons.

Sarah serves as the head of the Research Group Social Psychology and is the scientific leader of the Student Research Programm in Psychology (Forskerlinje i psykologi).
