Biomaterials used in dentistry and medicine

The research groups main goal is to conduct basic science and translational research into clinical research. Projects will preferably be initiated on clinical issues. The projects range from basic sciences on biomaterial (e.g. mechanical as well as physical properties, sorption/solubility, analysis of eluates, analysis of cell biology etc.) all with the background in those polymer-based substances used in medical and dental context.

By utilizing the multidisciplinary expertise of the group in biomaterials, advanced analysis as well as studies on cell biology including proteomics can be performed. The research group will conduct basic science, useful clinical and translational research. The group has national and international collaboration with the supply of skills in the various relevant disciplines.

The goal of the research group is to bridge the areas of restorative dentistry, medicine and material science.
