Folk health and rehabilitation

The research group for folk health and rehabilitation places a focus on major widespread diseases that have a particular impact on a person's function and motive skills. As a part of the University's social responsibility, the group aims to produce knowledge of areas that are of importance for the health and quality of life of persons suffering from such diseases. The group therefore aims to study both causal factors and risk factors related to diseases, the number of incidents of a disease, the effect of treatment and how persons can be helped to live with impaired health and function. Another main goal for the group is to develop effective preventive measures.
