Plants and northern ecosystems

Within our research group we are a group of ecologists that study the role of plants in terrestrial ecosystems through a range of projects with COAT being central to most projects. We have our focus at northern latitudes, in alpine areas or where the boreal and arctic biomes meet. We typically use large-scale study designs in order for our research to be context independent, and we typically study how plants, through their plant-plant and plant-herbivore interactions, have a mediating role in the effects of climate change. Our interests and approaches are manifold.
