Bachelor's degree (180 ECTS) or other relevant technological degree on Bachelor level. Relevant field of study may be mechanical, processing, safety, nautical, automation or civil engineering. Other fields of study may be considered upon individual assessment.
Course content
Study of theoretical fundament and fundamental terminology of risk Basic analysis techniques and main tools and methods. Analyses in the planning, design and the operation phase. Use of experience, accept criteria, decision process. Planning and practical methods.
Objectives of the course
Through the course the student shall acquire sufficient knowledge of a risk analysis, the steps in the process of performing of a risk analysis, and also different methods of risk analysis.

Teaching methods
Lectures. Independent work with exercises by the use of hand-calculations and by the use of software.
Assessment
Project report (60%) and 4 hours written exam (40%). Letter grading A - F.
