Job description

PhD candidate with focus on tanycyte function utilizing maternal photoperiodic programming and hibernation as research paradigms. 

Techniques:

Hibernation animal handling

Rodent surgery

LASER capture microdissection of tanycytes in brain sections

RNA/DNA extraction protocols 

Analysis techniques:

RNAseq

LC-MS/MS untargeted metabolomics from plasma samples

Core body temperature recordings

    Teaching

    As a major part of the University`s societal task, high quality teaching and outreach is important. I have an active learning approach to teaching, and enjoy the opportunity to communicate and discover new views and questions on an engaging subject. I have fulfilled my teaching/compulsory work part of my PhD contract.
