The Russia - Ukraine conflict is now well in its fifth year. Since it’s start in Spring of 2014 it has seen upticks and downturns in levels of hostility. Yet it is very much an ongoing conflict. Call it a hybrid war or a proxy war, guns are not silent and people keep dying. The attempts at finding a resolution that included international organizations and particular countries, various mediators have so far brought no positive results. The conflict is having a heavy toll on Ukraine economically and politically. It has dramatically upended the relations between these two countries as well as relations between Russia and the West. It has become an open wound for the European security. Is there a light in the end of th tunnel? Can we see the glimmers of hope that might lead to the settlement?

This and more will be discussed by Volodymyr Dubovyk, Director of the Center for International Studies, Odessa Mechnikov University.
