Course content

The course is based upon a cruise with FF Helmer Hansen to the waters around Spitsbergen and the northern Barents Sea. In 2020, the course will be held in conjunction with the Nansen Legacy programme (AeN), with a special focus on research questions relevant to AeN, including effects of sea ice on the marine ecosystem. We will work in parallel with AeN researchers onboard the FF Kronprins Haakon, and have a joint cruise and sampling plan. The course also opens up for individual students to obtain necessary samples for their PhD work.

The course is dependent on the availability of the vessel. Please contact ARCTOS for more information or send a message describing your interests and needs to Jørgen Berge.
