Environmental geochemistry laboratory
The Environmental laboratory at the Department of Geosciences, UiT, is equipped with a Hach handheld multi meter and a set of interchangeable Intellical® probes for measurements of pH, REDOX and conductivity in aqueous solutions.
We also perform cation exchange capacity analyses of clays, stream and marine sediments and soils, using the Na electrode.
In this laboratory we run leaching tests for mine tailings and in-situ kinetic tests for ore mineral assemblages.
