Three new Professors at the Faculty of Law
Irene V. Dahl, Elise Johansen, and Vito De Lucia have been granted full professorships. The three new Professors are all affiliated with the Norwegian Centre for the Law of the Sea (NCLOS).
De Lucia’s central academic contributions are within the philosophy of environmental law. The assessment committee points out that his high publishing ability exceeds the minimum requirements of a professorship by a good margin.
In the overall assessment of Johansen, the committee made a point of her interesting contributions to national and international climate law. They also point out that she has been a co-editor for two anthologies released by renowned international publishers (most recently The Law of the Sea and Climate Change: Solutions and Constraints).
Tore Henriksen, Director of NCLOS sends his warm congratulations to his three most recent Professors. “This is well deserved, and the result of dedicated and hard work. I’m sure this will further strengthen the Law of the Sea Centre!”
