29.10.2020 Two persons confirmed positive for COVID-19 at UiT Tromsø
Two persons have tested positive for COVID-19 at UiT in Tromsø.
UiT has today, Thursday October 29th, assisted the infection detection team in Tromsø municipality in mapping close contacts to an employee at the faculty administration at the Faculty of Health Sciences in Tromsø who has been confirmed infected by COVID-19. The infection tracking team will follow up and contact people who are defined as close contacts.
The employee in question has not been at work in the last week and is now isolated.
Also, another student at the School of Business and Economics has tested positive for covid-19 and is isolated. The student was defined as close contact with the two students at the School of Business and Economics at UiT in Tromsø who previously tested positive for COVID-19.
- It is important that all students and employees follow the advice and recommendations given by the infection control authorities in a situation where infection in society increases, says University Director Jørgen Fossland.
