30.10.2020: UiT reopens in Hammerfest
After consultations with the chief infection control officer in Hammerfest municipality, UiT has decided to reopen its premises from Monday, November 2nd.
The management at UiT decided on October 27th to close the premises in Hammerfest, based on the infection situation in the municipality. Students and staff have since studied and worked from home. Now the management at UiT has decided to reopen the premises in Hammerfest from November 2nd. Students and staff will receive practical information related to opening and further operations from their study program and nearest manager.
– We would like to thank students and staff for the way they have handled a demanding situation. It is important that we all follow the advice and recommendations given by local and central infection control authorities, says Assistant Director at UiT, Gøril Heitmann.
