Aquaculture Research Centre in Moscow established!
The centre forms part of a Nordic collaboration program funded by the Nordic Council and SiU. Norway and Iceland are supporting, and from Iceland Professor Ólafur Sigurgeirsson from Holar University college attended the meetings.
From Russia several universities participated, e.g. Professor Elena Shoshina from Murmansk State Technical University.
It is the plan to expand the cooperation with fellowships to Norway and excursions and shorter stays for Norwegian university staff and students. There is also an inititiative to build up a more comprehensive support network on the Norwegian side, and a similar one in Russia.
4-7 December Associate professor Jo Espen Tau Strand from AMB/UIT will attend a similar meeting in Kazan on Aquaculture development organized by Innovation Norway.
