Dear Northern studies (online) students !
Due to the covid-19 pandemic, UiT- The Arctic University of Norway (UiT), along with all other public and private institutions in Norway, deploys a set of actions against the spread of the virus. You of course, as online students, are not affected by all this and the one year program is scheduled according to plan.
Opening on August 15, 2020, UiT Northern studies students will gain access for the semester to the necessary BNS autumn 2020 course materials at our digital platform Canvas. Each of the program sub-courses running this fall consists of 10-12 module of weekly readings, often also external video materials and lectures, including such prepared by BNS teachers and online tutors of the course in question. At Canvas, you will find and be able to download all course readings (E-books, book articles, journal articles). When the course is running other current or for other reasons added materials may get accessible to you.
When you have been provided with your personal UiT E-mail account, do keep an eye on it as by it you will get notice whenever announcements occur on the way the courses you are attending are run, or when you have a new online tutor’s feed-back on any of the mandatory course assignments you will be expected to up-load at Canvas as part of your course-work. All BNS announcements will be accessible inside Canvas when you are logged into it.
Dept. of IRN and the BNS teachers would like to welcome you all to a digital meeting introducing you to the BNS programme at the following date: Wednesday, August 19, 2020 at 12:15 pm (Norwegian time) on Teams. As online northern studies students you are welcome to participate in the meeting and you will receive invitation to the meeting on e-mail.
