- We want to recruit new students and therefore invite all types of international students who might be interested in coming back as master students, says Mustafizur Rahman Khan, international coordinator at the HSL faculty.
- But we also want to hear from our present students. What are their experiences? What can we learn from them to make our recruitment processes better and strenghten our recruitment work?
Long term strategy
The seminar is a part of a long term strategy for recruiting more international students.
- The best way to make our studies known, is by making the present students into ambassadors. If they go back home and decide to come to Tromsø again as master students, he or she will tell friends and fellow students about it and maybe we then get one or two more applicants, explains Khan.
He himself came to Norway from Bangladesh as a student and has been part of the international student community for many years.
- Our master's degree programmes are of good quality and we want to get out information on how attractive Tromsø is, he says with a smile.
Register by sending an e-mail
The seminar will take place next Tuesday, October 15th, in the Auditorium Maximum in the administration building. The five different master's degree programmes will be presented; Theoretical Luinguistics, English Linguistics, Indigenous Studies, Peace and Conflict Transformation and Visual Culture Studfies. In addition there will be information from the International Office about the application process.
And of course free lunch. Are you interested? Register for the seminar by sending an e-mail to Mustafizur Rahman Khan.
