The goal of my research is to decipher the molecular mechanisms that allow pathogens to adapt to the different environmental conditions they encounter during infection and transmission. I am particularly interested in the c-di-GMP signaling network and its impact on population dynamics, bacterial virulence and persistence under changing conditions.
