PhD in Health Sciences
The PhD study programme at The Faculty of Health Sciences is organised as a PhD programme which results in a PhD in health sciences.

Scope
The PhD programme has a scope of 180 credits, and is scheduled to take three years of full-time study to complete.

Objective
The PhD programme aims to qualify students for research activities at a high scientific level and to qualify for other positions in society that require a high level of scientific insight and ability to think analytically.

PhD Schools is a tematical organisation of the PhD aducation. You'll find more infromastion regarding PhD Schools here.

Career development
Through High North Academy the university offers corses, work-shops and information about career development and funding. 

Tromsø Doctoral Students (TODOS)
TODOS is an interest organization that works to improve the general welfare of PhD candidates registered at the university. They also offer a PhD Candidate Guide that contains useful information about being new at the university and in Tromsø. You can find the gudie here. PhD on Track
PhD on Track is a web site where new PhD students can learn about review and discover litterature, how to share and publish articles, and about evaluation and ranking of litterature. The web site is made in collaboration between several Norwegian higher education institutions, The University Library at Aalborg University, and the National Library of Norway. This site can be useful for our new PhD students.
