Booking of Árdna

Centre for Sami Studies is responsible for the lending of Árdna – the Sami cultural house of UiT - The Arctic University of Norway. The name Árdna can be translated to "treasure" or "something valuable". Together with the Joho Niillas turf hut, Árdna is the centre of a sami cultural landscape on campus. The offices of the Centre for Sami Studies are located in a building next to these two special houses on campus, Teorifagbygget house 2.

Booking of Árdna is done by sending us an email. You will then be informed about whether Árdna is available on the requested date. Please note that there are guidelines for the use of Árdna.

The key to Árdna can be picked up at Carina Sandvik Hansen’s office, TEO H2.215 (Teorifagbygget/Non-experimental building), House 2, level 2, entrance at the MIX-kiosk and Oracle helpdesk. Questions regarding booking should be directed to postmottak@sami.uit.no or 77 64 69 01.
