If things do not proceed quite as planned with your PhD work, it is important to do something about it as soon as possible so you do not loose valuable time. To intercept problems that might have arisen, you therefore need to submit annual progress reports.
The progress report is submitted every autumn to the institue you are affiliated to. A form will be sent from the Research, education and outreach section, but you reply to the contact person given in the emission. If your report reveal substatial deviations, attempts to solve the problems shall be initiated.
Both the PhD student and the supervisor are obliged to report any substantial deviation from the progress plan to the department.
If you are an employee at the university, you will be given the opportunity to talk to the institute leader or a person appointed by the institute leader once a year. Wether you want this, is up to you to decide.
