Welcome to the Centre for Care Research
The Centre for Care Research, North Norway, is a centre of expertise for specific and multidisciplinary research and development work and for communications, and shall help strengthen research, professional development and competencies within the health and care services in Norwegian municipalities.
The Centre was founded in 2008 by the Norwegian Ministry of Health and Care Services, and is one of a total five regional centres for care research. The centre was founded as part of the strategy in line with the Care Plan for 2015, which aimed to strengthen research and development work involving health and care services.
The centres form a national network administered and coordinated by the Centre for Care Research East Norway located at Gjøvik University College. The centres organise annual conventions and a national care conference every second year.
