Who are we?

The Regional Centre for Child and Youth Mental Health and Child Welfare is one of eight institutes at the Faculty of Health Sciences.

The institute is one of four regional centres involved in research and education within child welfare and mental health. The other centres are located in Trondheim (RKBU Central Norway), Oslo (RBUP East and South) and Bergen (RKBU West). The centres are financed by and receive assignments from the Norwegian Directorate of Health and the Norwegian Directorate for Children, Youth and Family Affairs.

The RKBU is managed by a Board composing employees, students and two external members. Click here for information on the board members and minutes from board meetings.
