Music exhibited at Tromsø Museum

Most of the yoiks about animals are probably very old. The exhibition includes the yoik song for wolves, reindeer calves and the long-tailed ducks, all from the Kautokeino and Karasjok area.

In the exhibition UnNatural are yoik songs for several animals.

In the exhibition at the museum are a church organ built by Amund Eriksen around 1854. There you can listen to two religious folk melodies from the Northern part of Norway.
