IT-user accounts at UiT

Employees and students at UiT are automatically granted an IT-user account. This account provides access to a wide range of services, including:

Students

Employees

  • Office 365 including
  • Software licenses for students at UiT
    • Available through LiReg

How do I access my IT-user account?

As a student, your user account is created when you are enrolled as a student at UiT. You need to activate your user account before use. For more information on this, please consult our guide on "IT-User Account - Activation (Student)"

Guest Students

Students at our campus who are not enrolled at UiT may still receive an IT-user account.

As an employee, the IT-user account is created as part of the hiring process. As this process is not necessarily concluded before your first workday, the account may not be available immediately. For more information, please consult "IT-User Account - Employees"

Emeritus and Emerita

Your IT-user account needs to be extended each year by your faculty. For more information, please consult "IT-User Account - Employees"

Guests, visitors, external examiners and affiliates

If you work at UiT but are paid externally, you may still be eligible for a UiT IT-user account. This includes guest researchers, fellows and other affiliates.

Forgotten your username or password?

If you have forgotten your username or password, contact Orakelet. Either visit our offices, or call us at 776 44544.

Closing your IT-user account

If your affiliation with UiT as a student or employee comes to an end, your IT-user account will be closed, and, after a while, deleted. Copy any documents and e-mails you do not want to lose. For more information on this, please consult IT-user account - Closing an account (Employee).
