SKYPE FOR BUSINESS (SFB)
This service has replaced Lync
![]() |
The service formely known as Lync is now Skype for Business. With Skype for Business, you may send instant messages to your colleagues. You can also call them if you have a microphone, or you can set up a video conference call. |
Skype for Business also supports sharing your display. This allows you to show other call participants your desktop or any program you may wish. For instance, you can share a PowerPoint presentation or a Word document you're collaborating on. Alternatively, you can use this feature to show your colleagues how to fix a particular problem or issue on your own computer. As this service is a derivative of Skype (Microsoft purchased Skype and used this as a basis for Lync, which became Skype for Business), you may also interact with Skype users. All you need to invite a Skype contact is the e-mail address they used for their Skype account. |
