Main Objectives
The overall aim objective of the project is to generate new knowledge and develop protocols that ensure a stable and predictable production of spotted wolffish (Anarhichas minor) fry.
Sub-objectives
• Develop protocols for the storage of milk, with special emphasis on cryopreservation and reactivation of non-motile, but live, sperm cells.
• Develop protocols for disinfection and procedures for removing egg stickiness that ensure high egg survival throughout a long incubation phase.
• Achieve increased survival, faster growth and development and reduced incidence of deformities in the larval and early juvenile stages.
