Stable isotope labelling approaches
The development of high resolution mass spectrometry technology now enables the measurement of dynamic changes in metabolites and protein modifications based on stable isotope labelling approaches. To make full use of the potential of this new technology, we need new data analysis pipelines that among others include a step to correct for natural occuring isotopes. The resulting time course data then need to be further analysed to unravel the underlying dynamics of the system.
