Kort sammendrag av avhandlingen:

What can language tell us about the inner workings of the brain? Linguists have known for a long time that there are rules governing the way we combine sounds in words and sentences. But why are those rules the way they are? This thesis argues that the rules themselves are a product of the dynamics of our brains, and the way we retrieve and combine the sounds of speech.
