(English text below)

Rapportforfatteren: Dr. Haley McEwen fra The Wits Centre for Diversity Studies, University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg er i Norge men måtte dessverre avlyse sitt Tromsø-besøk 12. mars.

SAIH is this spring focusing on a new international trend where knowledge about gender and LGBTI rights is politicized and suppressed. This represents attack both on gender research and gender studies, as well as on academic freedom.

SAIH has prepared a report on this subject, launch is next week (in Oslo March 10)

The author of the report: Dr. Haley McEwen from The Wits Center for Diversity Studies, University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg is in Norway but had to cancel her visit to Tromsø on March 12. Still, she will be with us by skype to discuss the subject and the report over the lunch table.
