How to write a data management plan (Zoom)

Link to meeting room: Join Zoom Meeting

When you plan to collect data in a research project, it is good practice to make a thorough plan for how to manage the data the best way possible at the different stages of the project. Furthermore, an increasing number of funders require that a data management plan is a part of the project description. From the 1st of September 2017, this is also required by UiT The Arctic University of Norway, see Principles and guidelines for research data management at UiT.

A data management plan usually contains information on existing data, data collection, structure of the data, metadata, how the data will be archived, and if and how they will be shared.

In this webinar, you learn how to write a good data management plan, and what is typically expected by the funders.

The webinar builds on the two modules “How to structure and document research data” and “How to archive research data” (for a complete overview of our webinars, go here).

For more information about research data management at UiT, see the UiT Research Data Portal.

The webinar is hosted by Noortje Dijkstra and Leif Longva.
