Dear PYRO members / young investigators at Helsefak,
We are excited to announce a pitch meeting for collaborations between UiT and NCMM (Center for Molecular Medicine Norway) on Wednesday, October 27 from 9:30 – 11:30 AM.
There is up to 1,2 million NOK available to fund collaborations between NCMM and young investigators at UiT for projects in 2021-2022. Individual grants will be awarded ~ 0,1 – 0,3 million NOK. Investigators at UiT are eligible to apply if they fulfill the criteria for ERC starting grants (e.g., must be within 2-7 years of receiving their PhD). The pitch meeting is intended to facilitate contact between group leaders at NCMM and young investigators at UiT who are interested in collaborating.
In the pitch meeting NCMM group leaders will introduce themselves, and interested people from UiT will each give a short presentation. This presentation should be 5-6 minutes long (~ 2-3 slides) and include 1) what your topic of research is, and 2) the type of collaboration you are interested in (e.g., subject area, technology).
After the pitch meeting, NCMM group leaders and young investigators at UiT who see potential for fruitful collaboration will jointly write a 2-page proposal (deadline to be announced).
If you would like to participate in this pitch meeting, please click the link to register no later than Wednesday, 20 October at 17:00. Put “NCMM pitch meeting” in the subject line. Include any time constraints you may have.
Once we have a list of participants, we will put together a schedule and communicate further details about the logistics of the meeting. Please note that we will need your Powerpoint slides by Monday, Oct 25th.
