GLIMT 2024: FRAGMENTS – photographs of Northern Norway's past
Temporary exhibitionGLIMT is the Arctic University Museum of Norway's polar night exhibition.
Archaeological objects are unique sources of new insights, challenging and expanding our knowledge of how people lived in ancient times. They are the only direct source of many thousands of years of prehistory. The Arctic University Museum of Norway's archaeological collections today include hundreds of thousands of finds.
GLIMT 2024 presents a selection of photographs taken of these finds, from the Stone Age to historic times, based on the book "FRAGMENTS of Northern Norway’s Past".
The exhibition opens on Wednesday, November 27, 2024, at 6:00 PM. The exhibition will be presented with music. The photographs will then be displayed daily from 7:00–10:00 AM and 2:00–11:00 PM until January 21, 2025. You can listen to the music on your own device through the playlist GLIMT 2024 on Spotify.
